The Baltimore Jewelry Center is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that was created when the Maryland Institute School of Art closed its metals program in 2014. The students and teacher joined together to launch this new nonprofit metals + jewelry makerspace in Baltimore, offering classes, workshops, and studio rental access to anyone with an interest in contemporary jewelry-making.

As a student of the program for 8 years, Lauren was happy to volunteer her time to make these posters for the booth at the American Craft Council Show to help raise awareness and funds for the new Center. She concepted the posters using a play on metalsmithing terminology, and used student artwork for the visuals.
